I don't know if you follow the NFL, but t...Myrhaf,

I don't know if you follow the NFL, but the United Way had a commercial that captured the essence of altruism perfectly. Roy Williams (Superstar Safety for the Cowboys) is pushing kids on a swing. He pushes one, then moves over to another swing and pushes another one. Well after he has done this for about 5 or 6 kids, he looks and sees and infinite number of kids on swings gooing in all directions. He could push for ages and never even make a dent. The last scene shows Roy shaking his head and saying we got alot of work to do.

This whole episode struck me as the essence of altruism. There will allways be people with unfulfilled needs. People with ambition are supposed to sacrifice their lives for those that can never fully be helped. Its a recope for disaster and terrible resenttment. And yet this is held out as the ideal. What a fucked ethics we are being supjected to. Sometimes I just want to take on every altruistic crusade myself to show them one man can conquer altruism single handedly and with proper spelling. And in the end, I will have achieved the status of great altruism basher. People woulk know fear of the basher. How cool.

Anyway I love your blog Myrhaf. I wish I lieved closer to you because I think you and I would find each oher cool.

I'll catch up with you again my friend. and hopelfully I will be a little bit more sober. Which helps.

May Gault look over you and keep you safe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
